The Pacific Northwest Western Dressage Association Youth Program The PNWWDA Youth Committee is currently working hard on our regional youth opportunities. Zoom Committee Meetings with the Adult Committee Chairperson and other youths are held at least four times annually and are open to all youth members ages 17 years or younger. If you are not yet a member but want to check it out, please do!

PNWWDA Youth Ambassador Program A Youth Ambassador interfaces with other Youths interested in Western Dressage to create excitement and participation and is the point person for their region. This is a fun working Committee, and Youth Ambassadors may be residents of Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Alaska, or British Columbia. Youth Ambassadors must be ages 12-17 years old and have parental permission to apply for the position. Zoom Committee Meetings with the Adult Committee Chairperson and other youths are held at least four times annually. Ambassadors are allowed to miss no more than two Youth Committee Zoom meetings in a fiscal year. This is a great opportunity of leadership to inspire others in your Western Dressage journey!

The PNWWDA Annual Youth Scholarship
The PNWWDA is proud to offer a$250. Annual PNWWDA Youth Scholarship to support youth riders of all experience levels in pursuing their passion for Western Dressage. The scholarship will assist in providing access to educational opportunities, clinics, and some competitions within our vibrant WD community. Our goal is to encourage youth growth in the sport and make WD education more accessible.

The PNWWDA Regional Youth Clinic Series
The PNWWDA regional Youth Clinic Series is a free (or very low cost) clinic for youth riders to introduce them to Western Dressage or enhance their Western Dressage education. Clinics are held in different regions to expand education as time, location, and available instructors allow.

US Equestrian National Youth Sportsman's Award: The goal of this award is to identify future leaders within the equine industry from across all breeds and disciplines and distinguish outstanding youth for their achievements.
